# Opposition MPs reject Shah’s debate, clash with NDA

NDA and INDIA bloc MPs came face-to-face outside Parliament on Thursday, with security forming a cordon as they traded slogans over student protests in Jharkhand and alleged theft at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The opposition rejected Home Minister Amit Shah's offer of a debate and demanded he answer who ordered the use of force against student protesters on 20 July. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said the opposition wants answers, not a lecture. The session's last day is Friday. Opposition MPs, mainly from Congress, Samajwadi Party and TMC, carried placards calling Shah a 'donation thief'. NDA MPs accused Rahul Gandhi of dodging a debate on the Jharkhand student agitation. Separately, the selection committee for a full-time CEO of the Ram temple trust has completed interviews with 18 candidates. Eight people have been arrested in the temple donation embezzlement case, and three officials have resigned.
