# Mumbai Crime Branch recovers Rs 96 lakh in Rs 2.65 crore theft at MLC Ahir’s home

Mumbai Crime Branch has recovered gold, diamond jewellery, silverware, cash and a Mahindra Thar SUV worth approximately Rs 96 lakh in connection with a Rs 2.65 crore theft at the Worli residence of Maharashtra Legislative Council deputy chairperson Sachin Ahir. Four persons, including three domestic workers, have been arrested. Pravin Solanki, an employee of 24 years, is the key accused; police recovered a 100-gram gold bar and bullion worth Rs 44.69 lakh from him. Police travelled to Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh to recover items from the other accused, Satish Kumar (Rs 25 lakh including the SUV), Amit Kumar (Rs 26.44 lakh including Rs 1.75 lakh cash), and Surajkumar (Rs 23,200 in copper utensils and cash). The combined recoveries total Rs 94.77 lakh, leaving roughly Rs 1.70 crore still unaccounted for.
