They were booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for common intention, cheating, and criminal conspiracy and remanded in custody by the Andheri Court on Monday. DCP (West Zone-3) Datta Nalawade said police are investigating how the four brought the devices past security checks and whether an organised cheating network exists. The exam for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS/Group D) posts was held across four metro cities on August 9. A total of 324 candidates appeared at the Mumbai centre.
