Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna has said he changes his phone password every 15 days and keeps no photographs on the device because he fears hacking. Speaking at a cyber security awareness programme in Hyderabad, he described scam calls targeting him and a relative. Hindustan Times reports that the relative was kept on a call for six to seven hours by people posing as police officers over a suspicious package. M9 News says the incident lasted almost two days, while Telugu360.com reports only that Nagarjuna’s family faced a similar situation. Nagarjuna said fraudsters used claims involving customs, narcotics and government agencies to create fear. He urged caution with personal information. Cybercrime advisories warn people not to share passwords, OTPs, PINs or banking details, and to verify anyone claiming to represent an official body.
