Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy says organisations should combine the voices of people with expertise and meritocracy. Business Today presents the principle as a call to value competence, data and subject knowledge over titles, seniority or background. Murthy co-founded Infosys in 1981 with six software professionals and an initial investment of Rs 10,000, borrowed from his wife, Sudha Murty, according to Business Today. Infosys became the first Indian-registered company to list on Nasdaq in 1999.
