Russell Westbrook, the NBA’s all-time leader in triple-doubles with 209, has announced his retirement after 18 seasons. The 37-year-old point guard posted a video narrated by actor Michael B. Jordan, captioned: “You had to be there. And now it’s over.” hindustantimes reports that Westbrook was unsigned as a free agent after playing for the Sacramento Kings last season. Just days before the announcement, he told CNN: “I love playing basketball. And if it happens, it works.” Westbrook played for seven teams, spending 11 seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, whom he led to the 2012 NBA Finals.
