# Two consumer panels order builders to deliver flats

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has directed the legal heirs of a deceased Pune developer to hand over two flats within six weeks or refund the full deposit with 9% interest. Two homebuyers had paid Rs 79.52 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh for flats due in 2015 and 2016. Separately, the Mohali district consumer commission ordered Address Infrastructure to hand over a New Chandigarh flat to a buyer who paid Rs 32 lakh, and pay Rs 3 lakh compensation for delayed possession. Both commissions rejected builders' excuses of pending court cases or payment defaults.
