A 52-year-old senior manager of the Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation died on Monday morning after an iron rod he was using to clear rainwater from his terrace touched a power supply line in Bhopal's Kolar area. Jai Prakash Katiyar, a resident of Mahabali Netaji Hills, was posted at NHDC’s Shyamla Hills office. Heavy rain on Sunday night had left water accumulated on the terrace, which Katiyar and his family had been clearing through the night.
