Only two sessions since 2004 have recorded lower productivity. The Rajya Sabha managed 33% of its scheduled time. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju put the figures at 19% for the Lok Sabha and 39% for the Rajya Sabha. Of 13 bills passed in the Lok Sabha, nine went through without any debate, according to PRS. The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill was the only exception, debated for nearly 11 hours. The Question Hour in the Lok Sabha lasted just nine minutes for the entire session, the worst showing since 2019. Only two of 380 listed questions were answered orally.
