# NIT Warangal hires 34 faculty, apply by 30 November 2026-10-16T16:11:41+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has announced recruitment for 34 faculty positions across various departments. The vacancies include one Professor, three Associate Professors, six Assistant Professor Grade-I and 24 Assistant Professor Grade-II posts. Eligible Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders with a PhD and a first-class preceding degree can apply online. The application fee is Rs 2,000 for General, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates, and Rs 1,000 for SC, ST and PwD candidates. The last date to submit applications is 30 November 2026 at 11:59 PM. Shortlisted candidates may face a written test or a teaching and research seminar followed by a personal interview. Applicants must check the official notification for department-wise specialisations and experience requirements before applying. ## Indian Opinion Analysis NIT Warangal is offering only one Professor post, while 24 of the 34 vacancies are for Assistant Professor Grade-II, the entry-level rank. This skew suggests the institute is prioritising early-career hiring over senior appointments. Candidates should note that age caps range from 35 years for Grade-II to 50 for Professor, and that the selection process includes a possible written test and seminar, not just an interview. The deadline is 30 November. ## Coverage - sakshi.com Straight notification reproduction with no editorial framing This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
