# Ramayana to release in China with new title, 166-minute runtime

Nitesh Tiwari's <i>Ramayana</i>, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, will release in China this November under the title <i>Ramayana: The Legend of the Prince</i>. Sony Pictures, handling international distribution, is promoting it alongside Tiwari's <i>Dangal</i>, which earned about Rs 1,200-1,300 crore in China. A Douban listing shows a 166-minute runtime for the first part, though the makers have not confirmed it. Ranbir Kapoor has said the two-part project has six hours of footage, comparable to <i>The Lord of the Rings</i>. The first part releases globally on November 6 and in India on November 8, Diwali. Part two is scheduled for Diwali 2027. The film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, with music by Hans Zimmer.
