Their status must still be verified by designated medical assessment boards before an eligibility certificate is issued. Candidates with progressive, non-progressive or not likely to improve disabilities will not face rejection on that ground alone. Those with temporary UDID cards and disabilities recorded as likely to improve will undergo reassessment. Boards will also assess functional competency. The Times of India reports that disability rights activist Satendra Singh had complained of hurdles at assessment centres in Agartala, Mumbai and Delhi.
