Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that those living in India cannot insult the country's symbols, national anthem, or national song. He made the remark while launching the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign in Lucknow and leading a Tiranga Yatra from his official residence to Vidhan Bhavan. The Hindustan Times reports he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had ensured insult to the national anthem and song is now a cognizable offence. Addressing a gathering in Gorakhpur on Monday, Mr. Adityanath said the Tricolour is a symbol of India's honour and urged people to hoist it at home, The Hindu reports. He said revolutionaries did not receive due respect under previous governments, which focused on one family, but are now being honoured through the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' drive.
