# No trace of IIT alumnus missing from Shivagange trek

Search teams using drones and metal detectors have found no trace of 31-year-old Advait Upadhyay, missing since Friday from Shivagange hill in Bengaluru's outskirts. The Times of India reports he is an IIT alumnus and cybersecurity professional from Gurugram, scheduled to marry in January. Deccan Herald identifies him as Advaith, a finance company employee living in Bengaluru. CCTV footage captured him ascending the hill around 7.30am. His phone was switched off soon after, and there is no footage of his return. His fiancee filed a missing report. A 15-member SDRF team and specialised equipment have been deployed across steep rock faces and dense forest patches, but heavy rain has hampered operations.
