The National Stock Exchange plans to launch its initial public offering by mid-September and list around 25 September, three people aware of the plans told Mint. The bourse is awaiting Sebi’s observation letter, which is expected anytime after an addendum filed on 6 August brought SBI Capital Markets in as a joint selling shareholder alongside parent State Bank of India. They will together offer 24.75 million shares in the offer-for-sale. Final roadshows for price discovery begin next week. NSE will sell 148.9 million shares, a 6% stake, in one of India’s largest secondary-market IPOs. The exchange commands 93.1% of the equity cash segment and 69.4% of equity options, data show. Transaction revenue, led by options, contributed 76.55% of NSE’s ₹13,057 crore transaction revenue in FY26.
