The agreement came at a meeting in New Delhi chaired by Union Water Resources Minister C R Patil on Thursday. The two CMs decided that a committee headed by the Central Water Commission chairman will submit a report to the Mahanadi Tribunal within three months. Odisha alleges that Chhattisgarh blocks the free flow of the Mahanadi by building barrages to supply industries upstream; Chhattisgarh says it takes only its legal share and accuses Odisha of under-utilising its allocation.
