# Odisha CHSE Extends Plus II Exam Form Deadline Amid Student Union Polls 2026-10-09T18:16:09+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) of Odisha has extended the deadline for submission of forms without a late fee for ex-regular candidates appearing in the Plus II exams to October 12. The deadline was originally set to end on October 9. The decision was taken due to the upcoming student union elections and requests from higher secondary schools. The extension applies to ex-regular candidates from Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational streams, including those in the Correspondence Course. CHSE Controller of Examinations Prasanta Kumar Parida issued the notification. The statewide student union elections are scheduled for October 15. CHSE has asked principals to ensure form-filling is completed by the new deadline. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The extension gives ex-regular Plus II candidates in Odisha three extra days to submit exam forms without a late fee, directly accommodating students who may have been occupied with the October 15 student union elections. The move affects candidates across all streams, including correspondence students. The CHSE notification leaves no other deadlines changed, so the main examination schedule remains fixed. The next concrete date is October 12, when the extended form submission period closes without penalty. ## Coverage - odishabytes.com Straight announcement of the deadline extension, no framing beyond the official notification.
