# Iran releases undated video of Supreme Leader after critical health reports

Iran's semi-official Mehr News agency has released an undated video of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who appears in good health while talking to a group of men. The footage emerged days after Israeli media reports, citing sources inside Iran, claimed Khamenei was in 'extremely critical condition' and possibly hospitalised. A source told The Jerusalem Post they would not be surprised by news of his 'martyrdom soon'. Khamenei has not been seen in public since becoming Supreme Leader after his father was killed in US-Israeli strikes on February 28. Reports say he was injured in the attack. Iranian officials have described his injuries as minor and maintain he continues to lead. However, Jason Brodsky, policy director at United Against Nuclear Iran, said the video is old and was circulating in March, suggesting the regime is trying to mislead.
