# Apple Seeks Injunction Against OpenAI Over Alleged Trade Secrets

Apple has asked a US judge to stop OpenAI and two former employees from accessing, acquiring, using or disclosing alleged confidential information while its trade secrets case proceeds. The company also seeks expedited discovery and depositions of the former employees, an OpenAI employee and corporate representatives. Apple sued last month, alleging the former employees misappropriated information to support OpenAI’s consumer hardware plans. OpenAI says Apple’s filing relies on false information and that it neither possesses nor wants Apple’s trade secrets. NDTV Profit reports that OpenAI also argues Apple has not identified protectable secrets or plausibly shown misappropriation. Analysts believe OpenAI may be developing a phone or another device.
