# Orry calls Akanksha Chamola a snake in Gaurav Khanna divorce row 2026-08-20T18:57:20+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets (3 source reports) Orry has called actor Akanksha Chamola a 'real snake in the grass' for allegedly milking her estranged husband Gaurav Khanna's fame on social media. Orry, who shared a vanity van with Gaurav on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, posted on Instagram that Akanksha is turning the actor's name for views and that she is 'completely shameless'. Akanksha had recently revealed on the premiere of Lock Upp season 2 that she and Gaurav are separated and will divorce soon. The controversy has drawn in co-contestant Shagun Sharma, who told Filmygyan that Gaurav bullied her on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. Orry dismissed Shagun's complaint, saying the bullying was only on-set banter. Akanksha and Gaurav married in 2016. On Lock Upp, Gaurav clarified they are still legally married and have not yet filed for divorce. Aanchal Khurana separately suggested the entire drama is a smart plan for television ratings. ## Indian Opinion Analysis ‍The coverage reproduces a single Instagram comment and the reactions to it, with no independent verification of claims from either Gaurav Khanna, Akanksha Chamola, or Shagun Sharma. Hindustan Times presents a largely neutral wire-style aggregation of Orry's and Shagun's statements, while NDTV's two pieces selectively highlight Orry's attack and, in the second report, Aanchal Khurana's suggestion that the whole episode is staged. The storytelling relies on social-media snippets as news, giving Orry's unverified characterisation of Akanksha Chamola as a 'snake' far more weight than any factual report on divorce proceedings. What is missing entirely is the couple's own legal status, Gaurav has said they are still married. Readers should treat the 'feud' as unconfirmed spats aired via third parties on a platform designed for spectacle. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 sensationalist - hindustantimes.com (sensationalist) Leads with Orry's unverified Instagram attack on Akanksha, no legal or factual context on the divorce status is added - ndtv.com (sensationalist) Presents the story as a clash of celebrities, reproduces Orry's comment as headline without corroboration - ndtv.com (2) (sensationalist) Frames the whole drama as a smart promotional tactic by both parties, pro-staging angle This story was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above.
