# OVHcloud says India fastest-growing APAC market for sovereign cloud

French cloud firm OVHcloud has said India is its fastest-growing market in Asia Pacific, driven by the country’s tech focus and data centre initiatives. Vice president Terry Maiolo told ETDatacenters that geopolitical shifts are accelerating customer moves towards sovereign cloud. The company operates one data centre in Mumbai, aligned with India’s DPDP Act. Global demand is also fuelled by the US CLOUD Act and Patriot Act, which let US authorities access data held by American providers. OVHcloud posted a 7% rise in Q3FY26 revenue to 289.6 million euros. The sovereign cloud market in India includes local players like Airtel’s Xtelify, JioCloud, Tata Communications’ Vayu, Yotta’s Shakti, and ESDS’ Swaraj Cloud, alongside limited participation from AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. OVHcloud says it is 'sovereign by design' and sees strong alignment with India’s data governance framework.
