Debutant director Uday Chauhan's Telugu film Pallaburusu, about a father and son in court over a Rs 25 toothbrush, releases on August 14. Produced by Annapurna Studios and Epic Studios, the film won immediate praise from Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. Hindustan Times reports that producer Supriya Yarlagadda cried after watching the climax. New Indian Express adds that Nagarjuna suggested edits that were incorporated during post-production. Uday, a former journalist and mass communication graduate, drew inspiration from a village graveyard scene and his own observations of rural Telangana. He cast Muralidhar Goud and Sudhakar Reddy, known for authentic performances, rather than commercial stars.
