# Parliament monsoon session productivity at 19% in Lok Sabha

The Monsoon Session of Parliament ended with Lok Sabha productivity at 19 per cent and Rajya Sabha at 39 per cent, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Thursday. Twelve bills were passed during the session that began on July 20, but Rijiju admitted only one was discussed in both Houses. Rijiju blamed the Congress for repeated disruptions, alleging the opposition ran away from debate. Opposition protests started over the NEET paper leak and donations at the Ayodhya Ram temple, later shifting to police action against NEET protesters. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi demanded answers on who ordered pellet guns used on students, and called for Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation.
