# Pathira Kurukkan first look features Jagadish, Mukesh, Siddique, Ashokan 2026-08-20T16:36:09+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The first look of the Malayalam comedy entertainer Pathira Kurukkan, starring veteran actors Jagadish, Mukesh, Siddique and Ashokan, has been released. The poster shows Jagadish and Ashokan as policemen, Mukesh as a Hindu monk, and Siddique in attire suggesting a Muslim character. The film reunites the quartet known for the In Harihar Nagar comedy franchise. Directed by Jayesh Venugopal, Pathira Kurukkan began production in April. The story follows four men from different backgrounds caught in an unexpected crisis, with a cast including Nirmal Palazhi, Riyas Narmakala, and Tessa Joseph. Music is by Gopi Sundar and production by Sijo George under Appai Cinemas. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The reunion of this quartet, who defined Malayalam slapstick in the 1990s, carries nostalgia value but also tests whether their chemistry works in a new era. The multiple religious signifiers in costumes suggest the comedy may derive from cultural clashes. Pathira Kurukkan enters a crowded market for comedy films, its box office performance will signal whether veteran-led projects still draw audiences beyond the initial curiosity factor. ## Coverage - cinemaexpress.com Straightforward announcement of first look release with factual production details This story was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
