CCTV footage shows the dog rushing from a gate and attacking Shifali and her husband Ankit Sabharwal. The property dealer and neighbours tried beating the dog with sticks to drive it off. Ankit says the dog attacked as soon as the gate was opened. Shifali suffered multiple injuries and underwent surgery. Both are being treated at a private hospital. Patiala police are registering an FIR against the dog owner under Section 291 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Mayor Kundan Gogia said keeping aggressive breeds in the city will be banned.
