Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said technology-driven logistics will strengthen India’s manufacturing and export ambitions as the Logistics Data Bank (LDB) crossed the milestone of tracking 10 crore EXIM containers. The platform provides end-to-end RFID-based visibility of container movement, covering 19 ports, 32 container terminals, 103 ICDs, and 439 CFSs nationwide. In September 2025, Goyal launched LDB 2.0, which added high-seas tracking and multimodal shipment visibility. The data helps identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency for logistics operators, exporters, and policymakers.
