# Platform workers can start NPS with Rs 99 contribution

Livemint reports that PFRDA has introduced the NPS e-shramik model for platform workers, allowing contributions starting at Rs 99. The scheme, detailed in a circular dated 29 October 2025, lets gig workers from companies such as Zomato, Swiggy, Ola and Uber build a retirement corpus through flexible contributions. Workers can contribute alone or jointly with the platform, and the account can be ported between aggregators. Onboarding requires KYC and generates a Permanent Retirement Account Number. Withdrawal follows the All Citizen Model rules.
