# Plaud cuts Diwali prices on AI note-taking devices in India 2026-10-07T22:02:04+00:00 | Technology | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Plaud has announced discounts on four of its AI note-taking devices in India as part of a Diwali sale that runs from 8 October to 19 October 2026. The top-end Plaud Note Pro, which normally costs Rs 20,990, will be available at Rs 16,990, a reduction of Rs 4,000. The Plaud NotePin S will be priced at Rs 15,990, the Plaud Note at Rs 14,990, and the Plaud Note Pin at Rs 13,990 during the offer period. The devices do more than record audio: they use AI to convert speech into text, generate summaries, identify action items, and recognise different speakers. Plaud claims the AI system can transcribe in 112 languages. The gadgets are aimed at journalists, students, and professionals for use in interviews, corporate meetings, client calls, and lectures. The Plaud Note Pro is roughly the size of a credit card, with four microphones and a claimed audio pickup range of about five metres. It features an AMOLED display, 64GB storage, and a 500mAh battery that provides up to 30 hours of recording in enhanced mode and 50 hours in endurance mode. The Plaud NotePin S weighs about 17.4 grams and can be pinned to clothing. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The Diwali discount brings Plaud's AI note-takers closer to the price of a mid-range smartphone accessory, potentially expanding their appeal beyond early adopters. Buyers need to factor in the recurring cost: the Starter Plan offers only 300 minutes of AI transcription per month, and heavier use will require a paid upgrade. Privacy-conscious users may find reassurance in Plaud's stated adherence to standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR, though the company still advises getting consent before recording. The sale runs until 19 October, overlapping with Amazon's Great Indian Festival sale, which could widen the reach. ## Coverage - businesstoday.in Straight product announcement with no evaluative language This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
