# PM Modi uses Gen Z line to praise young engineers at IIT Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told IIT Delhi graduates that many young engineers are proudly saying "first in my bloodline to build a rocket." He used the Gen Z phrase to celebrate India's youth building launch vehicles and achieving feats only a few countries have, Times Now reports. The video of his August 9 speech at the 57th convocation has over 10 million views on Instagram. Modi also noted that while he congratulated all medal winners, too few were women. "It would have been better if there had been one or two daughters as well," he said, then corrected himself to say there should have been many more. The audience applauded. IIT Delhi is one of India's premier engineering institutes.
