# Jammu Police-BSF search 15houses near IB ahead of I-Day

Jammu and Kashmir Police and BSF searched 15 houses in Arnia near the International Border on August 9 as part of pre-Independence Day security measures. The two-hour cordon-and-search operation in Aik Nallah and Kool Kalan areas proceeded without incident, police said. Separately, security forces have intensified searches in Rajouri's forested Dorimal-Gambhir Moghla belt following an encounter on May 23. A joint team of Army, Police and CRPF is tracking two to three suspected terrorists. Additional troops have been deployed. In a related move, a search was launched in Akhnoor near Jammu after a woman reported seeing masked persons.
