Suravarapu Daswanth and Andrew Joseph Edwards are in judicial custody till August 21 for allegedly ramming their car into her two-wheeler. The local court has not yet heard the plea, Deputy Superintendent of Police A Subhash told The Hindu. Meanwhile, GSL Medical College's executive director Dr Ganni Sadhika handed over a cheque of Rs 20 lakh to the victim's parents Kanike Venkatesh and Chandramma at Iklaspur in Telangana. College officials, including Dr Tarun, visited the family and assured cooperation with the government for justice.
