A Porter Airlines flight from Victoria to Toronto was cancelled last Thursday after a young child repeatedly refused to sit down and buckle up, the airline said on August 9. The parent and crew tried for some time to secure the child before the plane returned to the terminal at Victoria International Airport to remove the passenger and child, Porter said. The delay pushed the departure past the airport's 12:30 am runway closure, so the remaining passengers had to disembark. Porter apologised and rebooked them for the next day.
