# Porvorim flyover to open on September 10, says Goa minister 2026-08-15T12:37:32+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Rs 650-crore Porvorim flyover will be inaugurated on September 10 by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Goa Tourism Minister Rohan A Khaunte said. The flyover is nearing completion and is expected to ease traffic on the Mapusa-Panaji route. Khaunte said Goa is expanding tourism beyond beaches through homestays, eco-tourism, heritage, wellness and other sectors. He also said the state has 815 startups, including 382 founded by women, and that more than Rs 4.5 crore has been distributed under the Startup Policy since 2018.
