Corroboration: 2 independent outlets

Prabhas has kept his promise to work without a body double for the upcoming film Spirit, according to Telugu360. The actor reportedly took the decision after receiving feedback on his use of a body double in a previous film, Raja Saab. The Telugu outlet says 40 per cent of the shoot is complete and that Spirit is an action saga with high-voltage stunts directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Separately, NDTV reports that Vanga has confirmed Spirit will receive an A certificate from the censor board, saying the film's violent and intense content makes an adult rating expected. The film stars Prabhas as a police officer and is currently scheduled for release on March 5, 2027. Vanga also addressed a potential clash with SS Rajamouli's Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, which is set for April 7, 2027. The director said a 37-day gap is sufficient and called Varanasi the bigger film. Spirit is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga under the T-Series banner. Vanga had previously collaborated with T-Series on the 2023 film Animal.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

Telugu360 frames the no-body-double pledge as a mark of Prabhas's commitment and responsiveness to audience feedback, while NDTV focuses on the adult certification and the box-office clash, giving Vanga room to position Spirit as the smaller film. Telugu360 omits the A certificate and release-date dispute entirely, NDTV ignores the body-double narrative. The balanced take is that both stories are promotional, each tailored to a different audience segment. The industry will watch whether the 37-day gap between two big-budget releases holds or one shifts.
