# Prabhu to headline Franklin Jacob’s next film 2026-08-22T11:20:54+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Veteran actor Prabhu will return as the sole lead in a new film directed by Franklin Jacob and produced by Romeo Pictures. Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music. The project was announced with a first-look poster showing Prabhu in an unrecognisable appearance. The poster features a running track, a jail, an empty house and a rope, but the makers have not revealed the film’s title or plot. The project was launched at a pooja ceremony attended by Prabhu, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Pa Ranjith and Arun Matheswaran. Pratheep Kaliraja is the cinematographer, Prasanna GK is the editor and Sakthee Venkatraj is handling art direction. Prabhu was last seen in Kavin’s Kiss. His upcoming films include Marshal, Hi and Mary Gold. The new project will be his return to a full-fledged leading role after several years in supporting parts. ## Indian Opinion Analysis A first-look poster is a promotional device, so its visual clues do not establish the film’s subject or storyline. Keeping the title and plot private also means there is currently no basis to assess its genre, audience or release plans. The production’s next useful signals will be a title announcement, details of Prabhu’s character and confirmation of the release schedule. Until then, the project is best understood as a lead-actor comeback vehicle rather than a defined story proposition. ## Coverage - cinemaexpress.com Straight announcement focused on cast, crew and Prabhuu2019s career context This story was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
