# India wins seven boxing golds at Commonwealth Games

India achieved its best-ever boxing performance at the Commonwealth Games, winning seven gold medals and three silvers on Saturday. Preeti Pawar (54kg), Priya Ghanghas (60kg), Jaismine Lamboria (57kg), Sakshi Chaudhary (51kg), Arundhati Choudhary (70kg), Sachin Siwach (60kg) and Ankush Panghal (80kg) each took gold. Lovlina Borgohain (75kg), Jadumani Singh (55kg) and Narender (90+kg) settled for silver. Earlier in the week, Preeti and Priya had assured at least bronze by winning their quarterfinal bouts. The seven golds surpass India's previous best of three at the 2022 Birmingham Games.
