Director Priyadarshan has praised Saif Ali Khan as a 'very mature child' after their first collaboration on the upcoming thriller Haiwaan. In an interview, Priyadarshan said Saif arrived on set daily with many questions but followed directions without hesitation once answered. The director also called Saif 'a little greedy but very obedient' and noted his discipline, as the actor would read books during breaks instead of using his phone. Haiwaan, based on the Malayalam film Oppam, stars Saif as a visually impaired protagonist and Akshay Kumar as the antagonist. It marks Saif and Akshay's reunion on screen after 18 years, following 2008's Tashan. The film is scheduled for release on September 11, 2026.
