The bench of Acting Chief Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra and Justice Rohit Kapoor imposed a cost of Rs 1 lakh on petitioner Pradeep Singh, payable to PGIMER Chandigarh’s Poor Patient Welfare Fund. The court said judicial appointments follow an extensive process involving the high court collegium, the state government, the Union law ministry and the Supreme Court collegium. It found that Singh had personal grievances against Chauhan from his time at the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission.
