Binged.com's review of Pyaar Prema Kalyanam is scathing, calling the film an 'irritating rom-com' that panders to male entitlement and wastes its talented supporting cast. The review criticises the script for reducing the female lead to a 'caricature' and treating household chores as humiliation for the male protagonist, while noting the climax offers a saving grace as the couple decides to start afresh. M9.news reports a mixed response from audiences and critics. Some viewers find the film entertaining with humorous portions and praise the lead performances, while others say the second half is flat, the screenplay predictable, and the runtime feels stretched despite being only 2 hours 6 minutes. The film began streaming on Netflix on August 21. Director Elan, who also stars as the lead, previously directed hits like Star and Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. The music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the supporting cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, and M.S. Bhaskar. The film's premise centres on a husband living with his wife's family.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

The two sources diverge sharply. Binged.com's review is a critical take, framing the film as regressive and misogynistic, while m9.news presents audience reactions neutrally, noting both positive and negative feedback. Binged emphasises wasted potential and male-centric narrative, m9 focuses on mixed responses and runtime complaints. The measured view: the film has divided opinion, with detractors pointing to weak writing and supporters finding it light entertainment. Watch for its long-term Netflix viewership numbers.
