Raghava Pothuval, known as Raghavji, stand neglected at Paruthipra in Shoranur, Kerala. Raghavji was among the 78 followers who joined Mahatma Gandhi’s 1930 Dandi March and later worked to build self-reliant villages. His 3.5-acre property became an ashram-like centre that promoted handloom work, sesame cultivation, oil production, honey farming and soap making. Raghavji died in December 1992. He had donated the house and office to the Sarvodaya Sangham, but the premises now have little upkeep and few visitors, The Hindu reports. His niece, N.P. Sarala, says several Gandhi letters and other memorabilia were lost. Social activist Prasad K.
