# Rahul Gandhi challenges HC asset probe order in Supreme Court

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has moved the Supreme Court against an Allahabad High Court order directing the CBI and ED to verify allegations of disproportionate assets against him. A bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana is likely to hear the matter on August 17. The high court on July 20 had directed a senior CBI officer to file a fresh affidavit after finding the earlier response inadequate. The court also allowed the ED to proceed if material warrants further action. The case originated from a petition by BJP worker S Vignesh Shishir.
