# Railways cancels CPI’s special train for Delhi protest

The Railways has cancelled a special 22-coach train booked by the Communist Party of India to take workers to a ‘Chalo Delhi’ protest at Ramlila Maidan on September 1. CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam said the party paid Rs 10 lakh in advance, which was refunded on Wednesday. He alleged the cancellation was a central government move to disrupt the protest against price rise, unemployment, and privatisation. The CPI expects thousands of workers, students, farmers, and youth from across the country to join the rally.
