# Rajinikanth fan creates Navratri kolu with 230 superstar avatars 2026-10-11T05:51:55+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets A devotee has set up a special Navratri kolu at the Azhagumigu Sri Rajini Temple in Chennai, featuring more than 230 photographs and representations of superstar Rajinikanth's iconic characters. The display, created by Karthik, traces the actor's journey from his debut film 'Apoorva Raagangal' to upcoming projects including 'Jailer 2' and 'Dharman'. Karthik, who began the tradition in 2023, said the highlight of this year's exhibition is a portrait of Rajinikanth drawn on a leaf. He described the actor as his family's kula deivam (clan deity). Regular pujas are performed at the temple and prasadam is distributed to devotees. Rajinikanth's next film, 'Jailer 2' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is scheduled for release in theatres on 15 October 2026. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both dtnext and Times of India report the kolu as a devotional tribute, with nearly identical facts and quotes from Karthik, both sourced from ANI. The coverage is uniform straight news reporting with no discernible editorial slant. Neither outlet questions or contextualises the display beyond Karthik's account. The shared emphasis is on the novelty of the leaf portrait, the 230 representations, and the upcoming 'Jailer 2' release on 15 October 2026. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - dtnext.in (neutral report) Wire-style reporting of fan tribute, no editorial framing. - timesofindia.indiatimes.com (neutral report) Straight news account, identical facts and tone as dtnext.
