Rajinikanth is writing his autobiography, with his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth closely involved in the process. In an interview with Variety, Soundarya said the book could have enduring significance, comparing its potential impact to Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. She described her father's extraordinary journey as giving the autobiography a unique relevance. Soundarya confirmed there are no plans to make a biopic on Rajinikanth's life. She added that if such a project were ever undertaken, directing or producing it would be one of the most meaningful ventures of her career. Rajinikanth, 75, has completed over 50 years in the film industry and continues to star in major releases. The actor is currently shooting for Dharman in Hyderabad and has Jailer 2 scheduled for release on October 15, 2026. Soundarya's production series Love is expected to release in October, and her next film with Mahesh Thambi begins production that month.
