The news was confirmed by his friend and co-star Krushna Abhishek, who announced the postponement of a scheduled Indore show with Thakur. The Indore event was organised by an event management company. Krushna said in a video that Thakur's father passed away as they were flying to Indore for the show. Krushna described it as sad news for the entire comedy fraternity. The organisers said they will refund the full ticket amount and announce a new date. Thakur, known for his role on The Kapil Sharma Show, has not yet made a public statement. The cause of death has not been disclosed. ## Indian Opinion Analysis All three sources report the same core facts neutrally, using Krushna Abhishek's video confirmation and the organiser's refund announcement. indiatvnews.com is the briefest, offering only the confirmation. freepressjournal.in and hindustantimes.com add Thakur's career background and his social media posts about his father, giving more context but no editorial slant.
