Corroboration: 2 independent outlets

Ram Charan has reportedly assured director Sukumar of complete creative freedom on their upcoming film, tentatively titled RC17, treating him on par with S S Rajamouli. Greatandhra reports the actor has told Sukumar he will not interfere in casting or the selection of the technical team, with the director having the final say on such decisions. The duo previously delivered the blockbuster Rangasthalam, and work on RC17 has already begun with Sukumar moving into a new office. The film is expected to be launched on 25 or 26 October 2026. M9.news confirms Sukumar holds the final say on casting and technicians, but adds that Blast Heroine Preity Mukhundhan is being considered for a role without official confirmation. Ram Charan has reportedly heard the complete storyline and is satisfied with it. The official cast and further production details are still awaited.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

Greatandhra frames the story as Ram Charan elevating Sukumar to Rajamouli’s level, emphasising a trust hierarchy after past flops like Acharya and Game Changer. M9.news reports the same creative freedom as a news item without that comparative framing, but leads instead on the unconfirmed casting rumour about Preity Mukhundhan, giving it headline weight. Both outlets agree on the October 25 to 26 launch plan and state Sukumar controls casting and crew, but only Greatandhra provides the specific launch date and the Rangasthalam box-office context. The balanced reading: the core fact is Sukumar has the final say on RC17’s team, with casting still unconfirmed, the launch date is the concrete next event to watch.
