# Ram temple donation probe widens to contractors, chargesheet soon

The Uttar Pradesh police probe into alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is set to file a chargesheet by end of next month, Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover said. The investigation has widened to scrutinise payments to construction contractors and firms linked to the temple complex. A five-day inventory check of the trust's bank lockers found discrepancies in gold, silver and ornaments. The SIT has also questioned the low donations recorded during the 46-day Mahakumbh compared to Ram Navami. Eight accused are already in custody. The Supreme Court has ordered that a forensic auditor be added to the SIT.
