Ramanathapuram youth clinches secures 5th place in State in UPSC CSE in first attempt

As the Union Public Service Commission announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2024 on Tuesday, R. Sri Rusat, 22, of Ramanathapuram has secured the 52nd rank in the national level and fifth in the State level. 

Mr. Rusat, who underwent his schooling at various schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya at Mandapam, studied B.A (Hons) in Economics at Motilal Nehru college, a University of Delhi college.  

He, who prepared at a private coaching class in New Delhi, cleared UPSC examination in his first attempt.  

“Reading the life and books of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, also a native of Ramanathapuram district, inspired me to serve the people,” he said.  

It helped him develop an idea of how to live a life and for whom to live, he stated.  

“Also, my parents, grandparents and teacher motivated me to work hard for the examination,” he said.
