Corroboration: 2 independent outlets

Advance ticket sales for Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Ranabaali have fallen sharply short of expectations in the United States. With the film scheduled for release on 16 October, TrackTollywood reports that USA premiere pre-sales remain under 1,000 tickets, describing the overall buzz as ‘disappointingly low’. M9.News puts the figure at 743 tickets sold and $13,125 collected from USA premieres, calling the numbers ‘extremely poor’ for a star once considered Tier-1. The outlet attributes the weak response to the actor’s inconsistent box office run, citing the failures of Family Star and Kingdom. Ranabaali’s trailer is releasing on the evening of 8 October, and trade observers say it needs to generate strong buzz to revive interest before the premiere.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

TrackTollywood reports the Ranabaali buzz is ‘disappointingly low’ with USA pre-sales under 1,000 tickets. M9.News gives the specific figure of 743 tickets sold and $13,125 collected, and frames the pre-sales as ‘Tier-3 numbers’ for a once ‘Tier-1’ star, dedicating much of its article to the actor’s box office history and the competition from Jailer 2. Both outlets agree the pre-release picture is weak. M9.News adds the immediate next step: today’s trailer release is the film’s remaining chance to push advance bookings before the 16 October premiere.
