Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's upcoming film Irumudi has cleared its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film's runtime has been locked at 2 hours and 25 minutes (145 minutes), which m9.news describes as surprisingly crisp for a star-driven commercial film. telugucinema.com reports the runtime as a positive sign, while tracktollywood.com calls it optimal for the genre. The film is directed by Siva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The family thriller blends emotions, rural drama, action and suspense. Ravi Teja plays a middle-class father who shares a strong bond with his daughter, played by Baby Nakshatra. 123telugu.com reports his character struggles with alcohol addiction and undergoes a transformation after taking the Ayyappa Deeksha. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays his wife, with Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh and Swasika in key roles. m9.news says the final 40 minutes are a major strength and the songs, particularly Mallepoola Pallaki, arrive at impactful junctures. Shot extensively in natural and rural locations, the agency region plays an important role in the story. Sources disagree on the release date: 123telugu.com says August 22, 2026, while telugucinema.com, m9.news and tracktollywood.com all report August 21.
